I just recently read an article that someone took some heat for saying nappy, guess that word is now starting to get a new meaning?
So when does sir and mam become a racial word to? ffs....

He referred to the Women's basketball team and called them, "Nappy-headed Ho's."
I heard the sound byte and he is clearly making fun of them for being unattractive. In that context it was also about being black and being of lesser social status.
Totally offensive.
And hearing him whine like a little girl when he got busted for it. PRICELESS.
But you could tell he didn't get it. He was like, "Sorry you're offended."
Listening to the basketball players interviews, it was clear that his words hurt them.

Yes Don Imus was a prick and racist no doubt. But if i can find the link, someone was referring to themselves as having nappy hair, was over heard from a distance, then got hit with a suite.

But your point is still very unclear to me...
