I just tried changing my avatar, and I know the limits are 100 x 100 pixels and 5000 bytes...I know how to change the size of the picture, but is there anyway to change the byte size???

Any help would be appreciated.

Right click the file.. then click edit. then go to image (if your using the program i use) and click stretch/skew. make the picture smaller using that.
then you can click image -> attributes to find out its exact size.
but you must minimize it with the stretch/skew, trust me.

 

I did that, but even though the picture is smaller now, the byte size is unchanged. Any ideas?

Only other option i can think of is find a website to host it. and instead of uploading it.. just link it. thats what i did on mine !
