Dude, she is out there alone and scared. It isn't a good place for her to be and she knows it. The world is a scary place for a single mom. If you can get laid without getting involved in her life, then fine, but you can't, trust me.
AT 24 YEARS OLD YOU ARE TOO YOUNG TO ABSORB SOMEONE ELSE PROBLEMS. Chances are you are fairly f**ked up yourself and you don't even know it yet (we all are, no offense).
Put her in the friendzone, find another girl without baggage. Marry her, in a few years when you divorce her then you will have baggage too and there will be plenty of women with their own baggage you can hook up with.
Get some distance here, Blame work and/or school. Become a booty call, nothing more.

To the OP, my friend you're the "transition" guy. She knows her stock value has recently plummeted by having the kid, so in the mean time she's using you for her own self fulfilling purposes (i.e. having someone take her here & there, small talk, needing someone to make feel beautiful and appreciated yadda yadda yadda). Don't be a fool man. She friend-zoned you back in the day when her stock value was high, now all of a sudden things changed after she had the kid. Puh-lease lol
