I know he didn't beat his jaw/face up, but you could always pass it off as something like that.
It's more manly.
It's more manly.thanks for that one!!!! Hopefully he will learn to lie.... he is fairly shy and doesn't lie like me.

"My braces will come off one day but you will always be stupid."
The teasing will only last a couple weeks tops. Kids get bored teasing about the same thing for too long and move on to someone else. That and they get used to seeing the braces and it becomes no big deal.
I had braces on the top jaw for 6 months but the way I smile they did not really show so half the peole I knew never knew I had them.
edit: How about "My dad drives an NSX?"

yeah but i would say 95 percent of kids have no idea what an nsx is...
"Suck on my fat one you cheap dime store hood."
Don't worry about it too much, he may catch a few remarks, but braces are so common now most people dont worry about 'em. Take it from me, got mine right before my freshman year of highschool, and now am finally getting them my junior year (highschool). Highschool teens are ruthless, but no one cares too much about braces anymore, it's just an everyday thing.
edit: Just a good, "Go screw a donkey," works well.

Yo momma jokes are timeless.
How old is your son BTW? Maybe if we knew the target audience, we could tailor the comebacks a little better.

too bad my son is only 12 and fairly innocent. He wouldn't even understand what that meant... at least I don't think he would...ahha... i will ask him tonight.

Braces are so common now that I don't think anyone would say anything.

I agree with 'yo momma' jokes being timeless, can't go wrong with those.
