The other nite it was 11PM, and i was pulling out of the parking lot onto an empty street. while turning hit a wet spot and gassed it, resulting in a bad drift. a cop pulled me over and got me for careless driving. since it was very wet and was accidental, is there any way i can fight the ticket. i know that i wont get off scot free but maybe pay a higher fine and get the pts off...

thanks,
ray

The woods is very vague as far as locations go

If you are in the states, I would highly recommend getting a lawyer. More than likely he can have it reduced to something that won't affect your insurance.
Traffic school is also a option depending your location.

Good Luck!

There's a book on this, but basically if you weren't going fast and could reproduce the same effect at a lower speed it should be enough proof to let it slide.
