Default Need help with Windows Quick Launch Bar.

First I'd like to thank anyone who helps me (or attempts to help for that matter).

I've deleted the icon that would show my desktop. If I have ,say, 11 open windows and want to see the desktop, then I'd hit the "show desktop" icon. It's gone and I cannot restore it for the life of me.

Can anyone help,
Anyone,
Thanks,
Barrett.

Quick fix: Press the Windows key + D. It does the same thing. Press again to restore the desktop. Windows key + M will simply minimize all of the windows, if you want that for some reason.

Full fix (from http://www.theeldergeek.com/restore_show_d...esktop_icon.htm):

Open Notepad and enter the following text:

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Save the new file as Show Desktop.scf then drag and drop the icon on the Quick Launch bar.
