Default Need Sample Images from 2 megapixel digital cameras!

Since S2000 ownership provides so many opportunities for picture taking, I thought this group would be a good one to ask the following favor:

I'm looking to buy a not-too-expensive digital camera pretty soon, and was wondering about the quality I can expect from a 2.0 megapixel camera, that being in the price range that I'm interested in. Can anyone who has some shots from such a camera in their Photo Album post a few of them for me? If you have the info for them, also please post any other info regarding the shots that may be useful, like the actual resolution used, compression quality, etc....

Thanks a lot in advance!

I'm no expert on digi cams.. but from what I have read if you are not printing pics and just using your camera for internet postings and albums like me megapixels really don't matter much. I have a good 1.3 megapixel cam that has many options it is a sony and I paid about $250.00. Here are some of my pics taken with it.

Thanks for the samples, but these are only 640x480 (about .3 megapixels). Of course, I could take this as a good indication of how good even 1 megapixel can be....

This one is 1600 X 1200 or roughly 2.1 megapixels on a Cannon Powershot S100

though I have taken better pictures, it gives you an idea about the resolution

I'm by no means a photography expert, but I would think that the quality of a photograph is affected by a lot more than just resolution. The quality of the lens etc probably matters a lot more.
Of course, I don't know much about photography, so I'm going to step aside before I make myself look like

Thanks, Mindcore!
That's really nice (sweet car, by the way!) It gives me a good idea what to expect just based on resolution.

PeaceLove&S2K, your statement is quite correct, but I was just trying to get an idea how much better 2 megapixels is over my current el-cheapo .3 megapixels (camera cost me $30). Kind of a 'all-things-being-equal sort of test..)

Now that I know that 2 megapixels should be sufficient for my purposes, I can start looking for prices and reviews that will cover things like lenses, autofocus vs. fixed focus, number of max-res images that can be stored, etc....
