Default neeed help

Hello,

Anyone know how to scan a car part catalogue with all the part numbers etc, but not as a JPG file. is there any software you can use to turn the scanned JPG file containing list of numbers and text into a word/excel format????

thanks in advance!

you should have some kind of OCR program that came on a disc with your scanner if it was recently bought. that will help with scanning the text and it being converted into a word file but you are still going to have reconstruct the page if it has a diagram or photo in it.

If it is readibility or image quality you are concerned about I would just scan at 300 dpi and convert that scan to pdf. it should read on screen just fine and print at the same quality as the catalog

OCR software is not perfect by any means.
Just scan to PDF and call it a day.

Unless you HAVE to have it editable.
