Hey,

I have a wordperfect file that I need to have converted to MS Word. and I need it tonight. Can anyone help me with it?

when you save the file, it should say file type in a box under the name you type in. One of the choices might be a word file. Often the programs will let you save the file as a competitors. Did you try it?
Other choice is to make a backup copy, then just rename it to a .wpd file. That may allow it to be opened in Word, but if you have any fancy editing or columns etc they might get messed up.
Did you try to open it in Word just as a wordperfect file? If you can open it and it looks ok, you should be able to save it as a word file then.

I use word, but someone sent me a WP document that I needed, my Word didn't have the converters to open it.

But.. I ran to one of my other computers and it had the converters, opened it, saved it back as a doc, and I'm good to go.

Thanks for the suggestions, I just jumped the gun.

I'm pretty sure OpenOffice opens wpd, doc, and other proprietary formats with ease. www.openoffice.org
