It has nothing to do with "the world having bigger problems". It has to do with your attitude toward others and your lack of respect towards them. Even if that person doesn't "own" that land, they may still have to walk across it to get to their car or mailbox or whatever, and I'm sure they won't be too happy if they step in a steaming pile of dog poo (especially if they don't own a dog of their own).

Additionally, I don't know the regulations in Australia, but I know for a fact in my city/neighborhood that:
1) It is illegal (civil penalty) to allow your pet to defecate on public property without removing the feces.
2) My HOA has bylaws stating that you must clean up after your pet. You must take it with you if the dog drops bombs on someone else's lawn, and you must clean the crap out of your own yard on a regular basis (I think it's every 2 weeks or so), so that the it doesn't start becoming detectable from other neighbors. You can be fined if you don't.

And just for the record... I don't litter. What's the point when there is likely a trash can within 100ft anyway? I also don't leave my shopping cart sitting in the middle of the parking lot. It's just demonstrates your lack of respect for others. So, yeah... maybe you are a jerk. Live life how you want to, but don't be surprised if some day someone else is just as disrespectful to you.
I happen to agree with all of what you just said.

I was wondering who the people are that leave dog poo and shopping carts lying around being a pain to everyone else who puts in a little effort to be courteous. Turns out it the Aussies Jusssst keeding.

man a bunch of you have jerks for neighbors, some of you are jerks yourselves. I am lucky, my spugen exhaust is sexy loud. My neighbor that I share a driveway with loves it. He's really cool though. I try to leave my driveway as slowly as possible at odd times so as not to disturb his family though. He laughs because my dog can hear my exhaust from far away and goes nuts as soon as he hears it.

So I guess we have 2 different loud categories. The "normal loud" and the "sexy loud". Anything other loud categories that I dont know about?
