It has nothing to do with "the world having bigger problems". It has to do with your attitude toward others and your lack of respect towards them. You must take it with you if the dog drops bombs on someone else's lawn, and you must clean the crap out of your own yard on a regular basis (I think it's every 2 weeks or so), so that the it doesn't start becoming detectable from other neighbors. You can be fined if you don't.
And just for the record... I don't litter. What's the point when there is likely a trash can within 100ft anyway? I also don't leave my shopping cart sitting in the middle of the parking lot. It's just demonstrates your lack of respect for others. So, yeah... maybe you are a jerk.
Live life how you want to, but don't be surprised if some day someone else is just as disrespectful to you.

man a bunch of you have jerks for neighbors, some of you are jerks yourselves. I am lucky, my spugen exhaust is sexy loud. My neighbor that I share a driveway with loves it. He's really cool though. I try to leave my driveway as slowly as possible at odd times so as not to disturb his family though. He laughs because my dog can hear my exhaust from far away and goes nuts as soon as he hears it.
