The new bose in ear head phones?
Yup I have no experience. I'm going to avoid it as much as possible. Too much $$$ for me. Plus I've lost some hearing so it really doesn't make sense for me to go with hi end product. I only like my in ears for the comfort factor.

The inverse is actually true. Pay less, get better quality than Bose.
I've yet to hear of any audio manufacturer list Bose as a benchmark in anything other than duping the public.
Bose has an excellent marketing department, I'll give them that.

Their car systems always sound awful, although they've somehow convinced Ferrari to put one in the F430. I guess in the F430 the main sound system has 8 cylinders, and it doesn't matter what audio system you put in the car.
Compare it to the Mark Levinson system in a Lexus and you will never think of Bose as a good system again.
I've listened to plenty of Bose products, and there's no way I'd buy them. There's always something a lot better for a lot less money.
Now that I think of it, I've never seen Bose for sale in a dedictaed audio store, only at mall stores like Best Buy, etc.

Go listen to virtually any Bose system in the sound room of a stereo shop (yeah I know they're didsappearing) and compare it to any other system they have.
I'm sorry, Bose is all marketing.
[QUOTE=Wildncrazy,May 11 2007, 07:40 AM] I've made comparisons against many more brands and products than it is possible for a person on the street to make plus have had input from other brands of stereo manufacturers.
ear buds have been around for some time, custom fit and wear them for ambient noise protection. recently the people who fit them are putting sound drivers in them.
because they fit well into the ear:
-generally good sound
-dont fall out
-efficient, ambient noise is abated and the drivers are middle ear.

Being a mod of the electronics section, we have had this discussion MANY times. Bose equipment IS MARKETED TOWARDS PEOPLE THAT DO NOT KNOW A DAMN THING ABOUT AUDIO. Anyone who is a REAL audiphile will never be caught dead with Bose anything in their homes. Bose in convenient for people who have no clue. Bose stores are built specifically to make all their equipment sound better. In reality, they are just cheap paper speakers with one of the worlds best marketing departments behind them. Like another member said,
"No highs, no lows, it must be bose."
You want high end on a budget? Go with Klipsch. You can get the Synergy SLX 5.1 for the same price as the bose...
