What's the first thing they do when a baby is born? They suck out all fluids from their ear/nose/mouth. Why? Because the baby as emniodic (sp?) fluid. If the baby has the fluid in there system they can later have lots of problems, i.e. heart falier, bad stomachs, ear problems... list goes on. They can even get a slight case of pnemonia. Anyway I am sure they listed the baby in critical condition because it was a natrual birth where there was no medical professional/midwife present. The baby needed to be observed that there was no effects.

FYI the baby was secretly taken out of the hospital yesterday and into a Foster family.
