the only thing holding me back from nextel is I've heard their service sucks......i'm looking at the $59.99 plan from both of them...

more of my friends have nextel...any ideas guys???

 

I did some research before choosing Verizon and it seemed to have the best connection "can you hear me now" but all cellphones can suck at times. I have a moto v710 now I wish I had gotten the raz 3

 

Just an FYI, you can't use a Moto V3 with Verizon.

Both carriers have excellent service/coverage, talk to your friends and see what they have.

Once a year the Washington Post does a huge article on the carriers in this area, and for the past 2 years Nextel ranked #1.

Anybody hear about the possible Sprint/Nextel merger?....pretty interesting stuff.

well i went with nextel and got the camera phone one...we'll see how it goes...

 

I hated Nextel. The damn Motorola phone had to be charged every day. I switched to Verizon, got an LG phone, and it stays charged for five days straight.

 

If you read consumers, Verizon is #1 in every dept. Although, Nextel is ranked 2nd in just about every comparison. So you can't go wrong either way.

Also, if you are having problems keeping a charge, it is probably because your phone is a trimode phone--and it goes into analog. I have a LG too, which is all digital color video phone--it stays charged 4-5 days.
