Why???

A few years ago I say something on one of the car mag TV shows. It was a noise canceling muffler. With it came a speaker for the cab that would replicate exhaust notes of expensive cars. The lady was drive down the road in Britian switching between her Mini(?) to a 911 to a Ferarri. Can't find anything on the web, so I don't think they did so hot.
