Being that I'm totally into music I can't resist.

Plus it is easy to use and you can take your entire library of songs anywhere you go! (Even though I STILL haven't purchased an I-Pod connector for my car )

That may be true as I haven't used any newer music apps or music players for YEARS. But for me there's no point to use anything else.

I used to use musicmatch and I had rio mp3 player from the stone age. I-tunes just trumps them. I could ask for a more shuffled random though. And bit better battery life for the I-pod.

I'm not one for the hype, and I know you can get something "comparable" for less money but I was already exposed of its use through friends and so I was already familiar with it.

Most times I tend to judge whatever it is that I buy on its own accord and never on or by its hype. This time hype was a byproduct.

The i-phone is pretty hyped up, but its a cool little machine, but I wouldn't buy one until they were free and had bigger memory and other features.

I refuse to jump onto the Iwhatever bandwagon. I got an Ipod as a gift for Christmas. I immediately gave it away.

I like my iPod as its good for long flights and road trips. Other than that I could care less about having an iPhone, or the latest Bratz iPod skins or whatever the hell they're trying to push these days.

BTW, will chlorine from a pool make my eyes get worse? I've been swimming in pools almost my entire life but I've never needed glasses.

Oh, and I love my iPod, when I have a good connection to a sound system (car, home theater, headphones).

iTunes is garbage. And Quicktime is just annoying.

I pod sells because its trendy. Whenever you mention MP3 player, people assume you have an Ipod - then their reaction tells all when you show its a superior one thats far more user friendly and cheaper.

I don't have an MP3 player, but I have been shopping. There are so many better products than the Ipod (for PC users) - but it'll sell cause its Icraze.

But its all good - Stuff like this makes the world go round.

The only reason I have an Ipod-Iphone is because I'm not a techy-type. I don't buy into the hype, the style or etc...just the user interface or ease of it. I don't rip my old cds (hell...I even have problems doing that), but I just purchase directly from itunes.

The nice thing about the ipod, itunes and the iphone is that there is no learning curve. That's because I'm stupid and can't be bothered to learn about things I'm not interested in.
