If anything, it was stupid and in poor taste. There was no insinuation that Asians are inferior, worse, lesser or anything else derogatory. They simply were poking fun at their eyes. Considering Anime's obsession with westerner's eyes, I see it as fair game.

Well, many people have a big problem with China holding the Olympics in the first place. Without turning this into a political convo, read up on some of their "Olympic tactics" like slavery, etc.
