I'm all for joking around! That was where my confusion was - who would want to purposely hurt someone's feelings with the intent of picking them up?!

If I can offer guys any tips, my biggest suggestion would be: Be sincere! Yellows2kpwr mentioned that girls get hit on all the time and to give them something different. True - we can see through the shallow/super corny lines and we groan internally every time we hear them.

1.Money
2.looks
3.education=more$
4.jock or musician or bohemian artist of some sort
5.The guy that would pick you up in a heartbeat

s2kmiami, I'm not saying they won't work, just that they're not likely to work on me. Being insulted/disrespected in a non-joking kind of way is an immediate turn off. I don't care how hot or otherwise charming the guy is. But I have no doubt that your friend's methods work! I think it just depends on the girl.

I agree with your list. Of course women will go for someone they're attracted to physically - everyone does. I tend to be attracted to highly educated men not because of earning potential but because he's more likely to be able to have an intelligent conversation with me.

Shareall, I thought you had training in psychology? These "methods" are proven human behavior. A gentle insult followed by a compliment otherwise known as a backhanded compliment works wonders on women. Nice guys finish last is based on facts. Nice indicates that your desperate. This is just human nature not the way we want it to be but the way it is. I suggest reading askmen.com articles by doc love, it pisses most women off but I can tell you its all true.
