I'd heard that members of the US Men's Volleyball team were cursing the Italian team after Italy beat them. If I were the coach of the US team, I'd have benched every player who did so. And if that meant forfeiting the remainder of their matches, so be it. That sort of behavior is intolerable. Or, rather, it should be.
I was watching that and someone eeked out a "F*ck you" and the camera caught it.

Yeah, I probably should've clarified my last post. I know Courtney McCool competed in the team competition for the prelims, but she was definitely absent from competing in any event from the team finals. Just wondering why, especially when the US women's team had a lot of last minute substitutions (like putting Mohini Bhardwaj in on floor & beam).
Kimmie,

The reason why Courtney McCool didn't compete because basically... SHE SUCKED. She bombed really bad in the prelims and they decided against putting her in the actual competition. Oh and if i am not mistaken, she won't even be in the individual events because she didn't qualify. I guess you learn from your mistakes.. and hopefully we'll see her in '08!

BTW Carley Patterson won the individual gold... (Incase ya haven't already heard!)

TAEKWONDO, August 26th 3AM Central time. I think my whole family is going to stay up and watch this (we own a taekwondo school).

There's a special on the last Olympics Gold medal winner, Steven Lopez (USA), whose school is 10mins from my house on the 21st I believe.

Anyone watch women's power lifting?!

Cin, I have no patience whatsoever! I looked up the results before the gymnastics even started! Yes, it's bad, but at least I'm not sitting there biting my nails the whole night!

Anybody watching the women's trampoline? My god, this is so cool. Who ever knew they had such a competition? Brings to mind visions of the end of the Man Show from Comedy Central.

"And now, girls jumping on trampolines!"

Sorry boys, these girls aren't in little skirts.

Kim,

Yes trampoline first started in the Sydney Olympics (2000). It's only the 2nd Olympics. I can assure you thou, this is more of a sport than ping-pong! I get tired from just jumping on a backyard trampoline. I can only imagine doing it as a "profession". Scarry!

Oh and I can tell you who wins the Men's 100M Butterfly.. I looked that one up...

Yay! Track 'n field has started being shown. Still waiting for lots of other events, of which I doubt I'll ever get to see.

Paul Hamm wasn't suppose to win the gold. That must suck x 1000 for everyone.

The "Dream Team" is playing Lith right now (basketball). They're doing pretty okay. But for a "dream team", they should walk over everyone, like an Enzo walking over an S2K, but they're not. The only thing "dreamy" about them is their salaries.
