Perhaps - but I think there's a huge difference between getting yourself psyched & coming across as being extremely arrogant.

Rarely, if ever, do you see athletes in other sports (swimming, gymnastics, etc.) do stuff like that. Seems like it's more the US sprinters.

IMHO, every athlete deals with pressure differently. Some will talk your ears off...some will put their headsets on and won't even acknowledge that you are there. I wouldn't say it's because they are arrogent. It really isn't time to show how "likeable" of a guy or girl you are in a social setting. Check out your local WTF TKD tournies or gymnastics meets, you'll be surprised how many "a-holes" you'll spot, in sports where humility is supposed to be virtue.

While the concept of women's wrestling may sound hot, don't get too excited about it - especially if you haven't seen any of those athletes yet.

Let's just say they're a little, ummmmmm, less feminine than the beach volleyball players.

How about woman weight lifting, esp. the Chinese strongest woman in the world? She looks like a sumo wrestler. Is that hot? She can lift like a million lbs or something.

That American gymnast, Carly Patterson, is cute. But it makes me feel guilty for thinking so because she's only 16 and looks 12.
