our many MANY marital/relationship troubles in this society are no secret. imo, our consumer minded psychology makes us tire of each other very quickly. there's the honeymoon period, then we get used to each other and then the little quirks annoy us into divorce. but if anyone has had make up sex, you'll know the refreshening of emotion, etc that comes with it.

that brings up the question, if we had open relationships, we would tend to take our partners less for granted. it would be a static state of fighting for their continued affection and therefore keep things interesting.

HELL. NO. Unless it only applied to me, then yes.

 

I would experience a feeling of constant comparison between myself and the other guys that my girl ended up being with. No matter how much you're in love, if she's out there with other guys then there is a chance (no matter how slight) that she'll end up preferring one to me.

I don't think it's fair to anyone to leave your commitment up in the air indefinitely.

 

 

done it before. if a girl wants it open, i've never been the one to try to make it exclusive. you cant make a temporary girl permanent

 

both parties in the relationship has to be up for it, however open communication is the key. also both parties have to be mature enough to have such a relationship.
