outdoor hidden camera
I would like to add a hidden camera on my front porch and my driveway. I had my hatchback broken into the other night. i dont have a clue where to begin looking. im just looking for the cheapest setup i can get. i would like to be able to view it on my laptop or tv. can anyone help?
I've looked at this before as well.
Depending on how much $ you have available and such, computer with an appropriately selected camera can offer great security because of the software intelligence. You can set up motion zones on the camera so it doesn't freak out over cat on your lawn, but does activate and record when certain areas of the scene contain motion.
Last time I looked in to this was some time ago so the company I dealt with might not be relevant anymore. I can't even remember who they are.

i got a wireless spy camera setup on my driveway.. I bought it off ebay and it feeds to a transmitter hooked up to my PC and records 24 hours of video to a dedicated HD
If I'm a thief I wouldn't even risk it, I'd just move on to a different car. Then again, I suppose some might still break in for spite.

Try a basic hardwire setup with a decent camera and you can do it for 200-250 usd. But, I would be tempted to put a dummy camera up as a distraction. Frys Electronics has two that work, but it helps to have highspeed internet.
