from my experience - and I have "a bit of experience" - I d/load approx 10-14gb a week off p2p networks...

kazaa lite used to rule - now its FULL of riaa/mpaa "dud" files... forget it, you'll find what you want about 30% of the time - if you're lucky!

for small sized files - limewire pro - d/load limewire free version, then search on limewire for limewire pro! there are lots of copies to be had for free. the benefit of limewire is that it veries the file before finishing it - sometimes it will find that a certain % is fake and delete just that small portion and continue until 100%, or if a complete file is a "dud" it will delete it at 100% rather than let you have it - get that up ya riaa/mpaa

for large sized files ie 500mb and up - there is only one viable solution (IMHO) go with torrents. d/load a torrent client like abc (search google for abc torrent) then find torrent upload sites for your files... lokitorrent is a good one, as is thepiratebay (search google)

don't be fooled by propaganda from riaa/mpaa - bittorrents haven't died, one major search site disappeared due to legal threats - but now even its back as "exeem", but doesn't support torrent files anymore

torrents are superior to normal p2p network files because they can't be faked, the d/loaded file is what it says it is...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've been using Limeware for the past week and the download times are just plain terrible (4-6kb). I'll check out exeem and abc torrent.
