You sure about that? I'd like to see some numbers to support this (and not just because you are the son of a claims adjuster)

Also, of course there is no documentation to support it because they're not reporting it! The only solid information comes from audits.
I want to see how someone runs this query...

Oh, and one little thing... not all auto insurance uses gender as a rating criteria..

So you're implying insurance companies are charging women/elderly less than they should be?
That doesn't sound like any insurance company I know.

The insurance companies understand that if they charge these "special" groups more then they'll lose exponentially more customers then if they continue to charge men between the ages of 16 and 40 what they should actually be charging.
We're really getting of topic here, the fact of the matter is Women are terrible drivers and should be charge more, unfortunately their not because insurance companies fear the result of change. Especially change that states the truth 1/2 the population doesn't like hearing.

I wonder how the DOI responds to "special groups" and their rate adjustment...

Um... so there is no documentation reporting it, but you can be 100% of this because you are able to validate this via audits?

...and yes, audits do provide factual information, but not enough to make change happen, mainly because it'll never be put to use for the reasons I've stated previously.
