people with touchscreen phones,

Personally, I wouldn't have Sprint as my carrier.
i had sprint for 2 years and it was a NIGHTMARE. their customer service is terrible. every time i had a question or needed help with something, i would get transferred to 5 different people, in between each of those transfers i'd be on hold for 5 minutes, the 5th person would 'accidentally' hang-up on me, i'd call back, get transferred to 3-4 different people, in between each of those transfers i'd be on hold for 10-15 minutes, then i'd finally get someone and they'd be RUDE. sometimes i'd get so frustrated that i'd cry, lol, seriously.
i was so relieved when my contract expired... but then when i was trying to get my number ported over, they were pretty much holding me hostage. i spent a ridiculous amount of time on the phone... same thing: got transferred to every customer service rep they had, got put on hold as long as possible, call got dropped a couple times. i'm not exagerating either, sprint is TERRIBLE.
oh, and when you get your bill, they don't give you a breakdown of all your incoming/outgoing calls for that billing cycle... which i thought was really annoying and a little shady. sprint is really shady.
i have t-mobile now and they're great.
I played with my brothers tilt, and now I'm really confused. typing with a stylus is gay. maybe because I've never used a pda.
I wish the HTC touch duo was out already. or if there were any nice slider phones good for web browsing.

I checked out that new Voyager yesterday....meh, I wasn't impressed. As a nice "I really want to be an iPhone" touch, the button to unlock the touchscreen is in the same spot as the iPhone. Except it has nothing else the iPhone's screen has: the multi-touch, the sliding stuff around, etc.
If you want touchscreen just so there's no buttons, go for whatever you want. If you want touchscreen for what a touchscreen can really do, get the iPhone.
Besides that, the iPhone is an awesome device. The only downside I can really think of is that the browser doesn't support Flash. Outside of that I can care less about what it doesn't have: whatever that super Bluetooth is (don't use bluetooth in the first place), controlling computers remotely, etc.

HTC Touch is a great phone. I would recomend picking up that phone unlocked. If you get it with sprint, the wifi is disabled on the phone. But if you pick it up unlocked you have wifi capability and can put it on any network you want.
Also if you want to go the whole route of the 2 year agreement thing you can buy it through sprint, then have a company unlock it for you and reload windows mobile on it with the original HTC rom you can get online. This way you don't pay full price for the phone and you still get the wifi enabled.
I would definately get the HTC Touch over the other phone your looking at. You barely ever need to use the stylus.

iPhone. It's not perfect but it's pretty damn close. You'll love it more and more every day (since there's no frickin' manual) and it's amazing once you unlock it.
you can load other programs on it.. but i don't recommend it.. I know a month ago if you unlocked an iphone and then sync it with the newest version of itunes it would brick the phone.. pretty much be useless. Apple made a big deal about unlocking it due to the software being intelectual property of Apple and goes against their aggreements.. Don't know if it still does it now though..
Also IPhone doesn't support flash... among other things
HTC is a great Iphone alternative plus you can load skype and other stuff on it. Also the touch takes a SD card so you can expand your space. IPhone is stuck with 8 gigs.
if you wanted to step up from just the touch HTC offers the Cruise.. built in GPS, fm radio better camera and some more features that kinda push it over the top.
