Pigs want more doughnut money!
hmm well my opinion is don't speed if you can't live with the consequence to it. However 5 MPH over would be pretty crappy to get pulled over for. I doubt this will affect me in any way shape or form.
I've always thought it was BS to let the cities or states profit from having an officer pull you over. Give people the option to send their money to a local charity instead of the city when they get a speeding ticket and you won't see BS like this.

I had a Sherrif just clock me at 57 in a 45, he just told me to slow down as that area is patroled heavily by the Troopers and they aren't as forgiving. They aren't all bad.

On vacation in Maryland, at 2 a.m. I passed a sheriff's deputy with radar doing 80 in a 55. He pulled me over and gave me a warning. Told me the troopers in PA (I was 5 miles from the state line) weren't as forgiving as him.
You may hate cops, but I wouldn't want their job. Would you go to work every day knowing the next person you talked to might just pull out a gun and shoot your ass?

Whoever the beneficiaries may be, they will have lobbyists working hard for them to make the laws in their favor. I say speeding offenders should be allowed to do simple road detail work so the States can save $$ and the pigs don't get paid to sit on their ass.
