.. the title of this post makes no sense, cops wont see a dime of this money, most are losing pay and hours throughout the states just like everyone else.

Heres a thought, drive reasonably and stay the speed limit or face the consequences! its always the cops fault when people are caught speeding

Well heres a doughnut for you, I have NEVER gotten a speeding ticket! woohooo

But scamming and extortion is ok on the false pretense of safety while the locals completely ignore the millions spent on engineer conducted surveys of the most safe conditions?

Cops DO see that money, it weighs in their KPIs, and now they are being pulled from real crimes to deal with petty shit like this. WE suffer in the end. Cop nabs someone doing 5 over and in that time, he could have apprehended a rapist,... seems fair to me as long as its your wife and not mine. Im trying to point out a bigger picture but people are too sheepified.

Here is the problem I have with this whole issue.

Every few weeks/month, someone breaks into a car in the parking lot of my apartment complex. It happened to a friend from out of town who was visiting me just a couple months ago. The thieves obviously make regular rounds looking for cars with anything of value.

Almost every night in the square two blocks from my house, there are multiple incidences of drunk driving, hit and runs, and vandalism. My side view mirror was taken out sometime in the early morning hours 2 weeks ago when I left it parked on the street in that area. I was being responsible and didn't drive home from the bars.

I never see cops patrolling my apartment complex, even though they have many theft reports from our area.

I never see cops in the square area after the bars let out either.

However, if you go the opposite direction from the square you'll find a long ... straight... perfectly safe road with almost NO connecting side streets and a 45 limit that should be 55. On that road you will ALWAYS find cops. Night or day. They love it. Everyone goes higher than the limit there... so it's a target rich environment.

This is bullshit. This is why we bitch about speeding tickets. They don't get revenue from catching actual criminals... they get revenue from the $100-$150 speeding ticket for the guy who is just trying to get to/from work. They ignore the frequent actual crimes going on just a few short miles away so they can sit and clock speeders.

For the record, I've never gotten a speeding ticket.

Kyushin, I thought it was your responsibility to get rid of rapists?

This is one of my primary points in the on going argument.

hmm well my opinion is don't speed if you can't live with the consequence to it. However 5 MPH over would be pretty crappy to get pulled over for. I doubt this will affect me in any way shape or form.

Well like I said, the pigs have never bought a dozen on me. I dont need to worry because I wont give them a chance to rob me. I dont think its ok and I dont like the fact that it goes on, stealing is stealing... they have just devised a way to justify it.
