Its illegal to speed ,but I bet you don't observe the posted limit all the time, heck this is an S2000 forum,I KNOW you guys don't always observe traffic laws.

Plus I bet marijuana is legal in less than 5 years.

Plus the company's policy is "Don't get caught doing it".

I need proof that hair follicle tests can detect back three years. When I was in high school they tested every student's at least once per year randomly. If you failed, you got 90 days to take another one. I'd believe three months, but not years.

Really? The company policy says It's OK to do drugs, just "Don't get caught doing it." I doubt that. I'm pretty sure it says "Don't do it"... but you're usually on the honor system to not do it, and we will only test you sporadically."

As for speeding and other laws... it's all about the risk factor. If I get caught speeding, I pay a fine and go on about my day. If you get caught with drugs in your system, you lose your job and source of income, maybe go to jail, etc, etc. Then, when your next employer also asks you why you lost your job, and you tell them that it was because you got caught with drugs in your system while you were working, then that may affect their decision to hire you, too.

The implications are different for any law that you choose to break. If you're willing to risk your employment and possibly your future just to get high, then that's a risk you have to take. But, when the company decides to do periodic tests, don't come looking for ways to cheat the system. Man up and take responsibility for your actions.
