ya. i'd prefer the 'type of person' who isn't going to mug me. whether or not racial stereotypes cause me to fear one race or another makes no real difference in that - which is exactly the situation here. that man was no more likely to be a terrorist than your average suit wearing white guy getting on that plane but due to other passengers' irrational racial fear they felt the need to cover his shirt up. the people in power shouldn't cater to irrational hatred or fear, they should condemn it and calm down the crazy people who were worried about a damn tshirt. instead they took it upon themselves to be censors for no good reason, and thus the company had to give the guy a payday. maybe next time they won't be so shortsighted (i doubt it though).
