plastic surgery
It depends on what it's for. I had a family member that lost most of her face, nose and one eye in a crash. After many surgeries she's a fairly pretty girl again.
Just want some fat sucked out of your middle so you can eat alot and put it back on? That's a quick fix. Have your boobs go flat after a baby and the milk dries up. A boob job might have a more lasting effect.

nothing wrong with plastic surgery as long as you feel better about yourself for it. we all fix our hair a certain way, dress ourselves a certain way, apply makeup a certain way (for women), drive a certain car, etc., all either to make us feel better about ourselves or to make others see us in a certain way. plastic surgery, imo, is just an extention of that. if getting that nose job or increasing your boob size will make you feel better about yourself or allow others to perceive you in the way you want them to, then technically, you're not doing anything that much different than purposely wearing tight low cut blouses or short skirts to make you feel sexier about yourself as well as draw the attention you want from males. the bottom line is either you care about the superficial and self image or you don't.
I just got some small moles on my face lasered off. It was really quick and painless. It really cleaned up my face, so I don't see what the problem is if it'll make you happy. Happiness isn't the same to everyone though, so I suppose one might not be happy with themselves even after countless surgeries. Those peeps need to see a psychiatrist.
