plastic surgery
Moderation is the key. If I met some one who was obsessed with ps I would essentially feel sorry for them because that to me reflects a deep lack of self esteem. I think getting some work done is perfectly fine, like some one mentioned above, it's just one of many things we can do to help ourselves feel good.
I might even have more respect for the person who didn't like something about themselves and got it changed as opposed to the person who's always unhappy and whining about a body part but refuses to do something about it.

I've wondered about lipo and fat coming back... Now I've heard that when you get fatter, it's your fat cells getting bigger, not more cells forming. So if you got lipo, you'd have fewer fat cell and effectively have less potential for getting fat, right? But I have also heard, like the above poster, that some people go right back to chubby. Is my understanding that it should at least be a little tougher to get the size back, since they'd have fewer fat cells? Just curious

Changing yourself is all about boosting self esteem. You wear nicer clothes because you think you look better. You change your eating habit to lose weigh because you think you'll look better. Getting your hair cut makes it shorter because it was too long so it didn't look that great.
I personally would wanna change my height. I'm like 5'8. Are there any growth hormone pills out there that work?

The fad I don't get is the botox in the lips I see sometimes. I'm talking about the women who look as though they have their lips pressed against the glass. That looks hideous.
i think plastic surgery is awesome. probably because im a girl but i really think that technology is helping people (not just girls) feel better about themselves.
of course, moderation is the key. there are just some things i would NOT do. luckily ive got a nice nose so rhinoplasty isnt necessary. i would never inject anything into my face but as far as the other things go, i dont see a problem.
i guess you could put cosmetic dentistry on the same platfrom because it follows the same general concept.
and contrary to popular opinion, liposuction really isnt solely for fat people. it proves better results on slimmer people who may just have 'lumps' here and there they want to get rid of. if you have liposuction and then gain weight, the weight comes back unevenly distributed because of the shock and rearranging your cells have gone through within the process.
and cosmetic surgery of any kind is not only for 'ugly' people which i think a lot of people think.
in my personal opinion, i am no means ugly but i am going to treat myself to a new set of teeth soon. not because mine are ugly, but because they arent perfect and can be. same goes for boobs.
all in how you view it.
