Cool! I'm sure she will love her own turtles even more! The older turtle is about 4 inches long, and the smaller one is still about 2 inches. Here is some great info on these little guys.

mingster: i did a search on turtles, b/c someone mentioned pics that were posted a couple of weeks back. i read all the threads you started on your turtle and especially the goldfish. when i was reading them, it made me smile. seeing grown men act like this over turtles and fish!! hahaha...i guess we're getting in touch with our feminine side?
that was some fun reading though. thanks! got any pics of the space you were making for your turtle? i'd like to see it.
THANKS!!!

some advice to those who purchase and care for these aquatic turtles...
1) please please please do plenty of research on how to care for these turtles before you buy. here are some links to get you started:

2) they make great pets as long as they are happy. this means setting up the correct habitat so that they don't get sick, they eat well, and they can swim around happily.
3) taking care of turtles can be a fairly time consuming and expensive hobby. make sure you have taken this into consideration and are willing to take on this responsibility.
4) again...i can't stress this enough... do your research and educate yourself on which type of turtle is best for you and how to care for it.
I just bought my turtles recently...here are a few photos of my very happy turtles.

Guy's, i'm in the same boat as Nhobbes. That is, i've got a girl that loves turtles and this is the perfect gift. The problem is i had someone look in boston's chinatown for me and he couldn't find them!!! Is there anyone going to fall colors who could pull off a trade to a willing member of NES2KO? I'm running out of options and it could help me win this girl... the girl my dreams are made of.... Anyone?
