What makes me really angry is that I have yet to see any Muslim person when pressed on the subject who has denied that they would answer a call to arms if a 'Holy War' is called by Islam against the West. When my neighbour can look me in the eye and tell me that he wont, then I can accept him as a true citizen of this country. If in the final analysis he is ruled by dictates other than his loyalties to a country he has supposedly adopted as his own, then he is no neighbour of mine or any of us for that matter.
Open discussion of these matters is what is needed not fear that someone may be offended.

This current crisis is with us for a long time. I hope this board can have the wisdom to provide a forum for it's members in what are going to be vastly different times and adapt accordingly.

Sorry, but I just find it difficult to post car trivia at the moment.

People may say things that are pathetic, immature or just plain sad -- but they don't offend me. I have the education and patience to look at the source of questionable comments and understand or imagine what lack of education, morals, common-sense, maturity or unfortunate circumstance may explain it.

If a discussion group draws a crowd of hate-mongering bozos who speak out of little more than their own insecurity or bigotry, I am not offended.

I will not cry to any authority to make them stop.

I am a big boy. I am able to distinguish between right and wrong. I can stand my ground and attempt to enlighten the barbarian, or know when it is either impossible or not worth the effort. I do not appeal to higher authorities to do and say the things I may be obligated to when I hear people like this speak -- the higher authority is no more qualified than I, except in their privilege of power to squelch or punish.

I do not defer my morality and responsibility to a higher authority. I do not take the easy way out by assuming that someone will be appointed to think for me.

I can relate to those who want an eye for an eye.
If we wanted to find a building to bomb, you couldnt find one in most of the terrorist harboring countrys or at least on that hasnt been hit already. These terrorist organizations MAKE MONEY on attacks through many complex schemes.
We could carpet bomb a country and kill some people, but turn the "good" people in the country against freedom. The majority of American people will not be able stomach the only way to stop terrorism. Terrorists organizations take care of a suicide bomber's families for life for this sacrifice to thier god. The only way to discourage this mentality is to take what is the most dear to them, thier family. There can be no one to benefit from the monetary profit of these attacks....men women or children. When a person is made to believe that if you give your life and take 10,000 Americans with you that you will go to heaven where you will have 15 wives and 30 kids and paradise....as well as give your poor earthbound family a good life? There are going to be some takers.
You dont see osama bin laden flying into any buildings do ya? He inherited enough money from daddy to finance 100 more WTC bombings before he dies and still have millions. You know he has LOTS of family too....our kids will have to deal with them poisening thier water or dropping anthrax or smallpox on their cities if we dont take care of business.
Whats our other options? Pay them not to kill us?
