Mmmm...

A couple years ago, I was hanging out in my backyard, talking to some friends who were sitting across from me. All of a sudden, they stopped talking, their jaws dropped, and their eyes popped out of their heads. They told me to slowly turn around. When I looked, one of these radioactive rats was standing about two feet away from me! Ballzy little 'sum bitches!

We chucked a beer bottle at it (missed ), and it just sat there staring at us!

Yeah opposums are idiots...

There was one in our backyard on top of the brick wall toward the end of the yard...and we just turned on the hose...drenching the bastard...

And it just sat there, getting drenched with water, not doing anything...

Just staring back...

Weird.

p.s. - I heard that their bites are quite painful, and they may carry rabies, so watch out.

They were everywhere I grew up. They can do bad things to cats if they live in your area so watch out.

We get dead possums in our neighborhood all the time. There were two dead ones in the street next to each other last weekend. A possum once absolutely kicked our big tomcat's ass in a fight one night. He limped for a month. We once had a family of raccoons in our attic, a family of possums on the fence outside our bedroom window, and a family of skunks in the crawl space -- all at the same time. Coyotes walk boldly down the street in broad daylight. I had a coyote brush up against my leg when I was taking the trash out to the street a while back. Now people are all uptight about mountain lions.

Nasty creatures. Good way to get a rabies shot, so stay away.
If you see one in the yard. Don't assume it's dead.
We've got 'em all here. Opossums, Raccoons, Deer, Armadillos, Vultures, Coyotes, Skunks...
You name it, you'll see it on Texas roads.
Had to chase one of those damn Raccoons out of my garage the other night.
He got in to eat the cat food and fell behind the beer fridge.
Had to move all kinds of stuff to get him to leave.
Came close to pulling out the Baretta, but them I would have to clean up a bigger mess.
