Default Powder coating VS Painting rims.

What is performed when powdercoating rims? I was looking at Elude rim's and i thought it was powdercoated, but he said it was spray painted on. Looks pretty damn nice. Is there reason why most people don't just paint their rims?

Here is a pic of his rims:

Powder coating is a method by which electrically charged powder coating material is spray-applied to a grounded work piece. Electrostatic attraction holds the powder to the part to be coated until heat is added to flow the powder together and cure it.

Painting is using your hand or some kind of spray can.

I think powder coating would last longer and look better, but that's IMHO.

In laymans terms powdercoating just gives a better bond and will uphold better than paint. Really for the price difference I'd just paint them and then redo it every 6 months, that way you can change the colour if you like
