Good news and bad news.

Good news is that I recieved the AP2 wheels and they drive fine with no vibration.

The bad news is that I don't think they are "mint" as described. I'm not sure if it happened during shipping or what.. but IMO, these wheels are not so mint. I understand that wheels can't be perfect but I was told that these wheels where mint so I gave him top dollar value for the trade ($750 would be the price I'm paying for these AP2). I have seen AP2 V2 go for less that were in this condition.

This is how they arrived, both rear wheels were pretty much unwrapped.

This blue is actually on top of some damaged and will not come off with Simple Green and scrubbing.

I'm pretty positive that these wheels have been repaired. Nothing was mentioned about this. Notice the different color of the metal.

My Volks I sent to him weren't perfect but I took pictures of every little mark I could find on them for him. I disclosed to him of any repair work and even stated that the new owner of these wheels might want a refinish sometime in the future.

I'm just a bit upset because I asked for pictures showing the condition of the wheels. He sent me pictures but not any of any detail. They looked fine from the pictures I was shown. I was given the impression that these wheels had little or no damage.

Those actually look like shipping damage to me. The dents are pushed out from the center rather than in and don't look like they were from driving. More like someone threw the wheels down afterwards.

um yea.... $750 is way high IMO for stock wheels anyway.... but I certainly wouldn't pay $750 for THOSE in THAT condition

Yeah, there are a few more nicks and scratches that are not pictured. There is not one wheel that does not have any damage.

Even IF these were all from shipping, it doesn't explain the repairs that were done. It look like it was repaired and then damaged on top of the repair. On one of the wheels you can clearly see that the welds were not sanded down all the way.

Just file a claim and get them to pay for it. Definitley looks like shipping damage.
