Thumbs up Question about the airport scanners...

This seems like an intelligent and resourceful crowd, so here goes...

If I attached 2 same-sized laptops together, would it look like one laptop when going through a scanner at an airport? I think it'd look like 1 thicker laptop on the monitor, but not sure. I'm traveling and want to bring more than 2 laptops for friends without being taxed.

Thanks!

They want to see them when you go thru.

yeah, you have to take them out of the bag.
why would you get "taxed"?????
if it fits in your carry on you should be able to take 15 laptops

Not only that, but the xrays scan from multiple angles... so you're kinda outta luck.

Oh, forgot to mention it would be in the check-in luggage, not my carry-on bag. I'm going out of the country, so certain countries only allow to bring a certain number of electronics in before being taxed. I wanna bring 3 laptops, but 2 is the limit without getting taxed.

I know the X-ray scanner scans from all angles, but since those same-sized laptops are strapped together, I was thinking it would look like one.

That's what I was thinking, but the 2 in the luggage would look like 1 if I strapped them together...hopefully.

Thought about it, but wouldn't fit. Thought about other holes too, but I'm sure the scanners will still see.
