Question about the airport scanners...

So if you had 3 laptops with you and said they were your own personal property they would tax them? 
I think the x-ray techs would have seen enough laptops in their jobs to recognize two strapped together. But would they even care? How would TSA staff know whether or not you paid taxes on them, or even had to? I think they're looking more for bombs than tax evasion.

btw, some people have personal laptops and work laptops, so it's not like you'll look suspicious with two laptops.

Can an airport scanner see you fart, I mean, gass does show up on Xrays...

I put all my expensive electronics in my luggage and just my personal laptop in my carry-on. What things can one do to lessen/discourage the chances of theft?
