Question about Boxing

If you watch a boxing match on HBO or something, why are 30-40% of the people in the crowd on cellphones?

Who are they talking to?

They're calling the people at Staples Center, who coincidentally, are also talking on the cell phones instead of watching the damn game.

maybe that's why the lakers are the only good sports team there... the players don't have to be good.. they just have to show up so there's a venue for other people to show up and see other people show up.
