Question for fellow skinny people
I used to be really heavy bout 270lbs,started losing weight a few years ago,now I'm 5'11" 179lbs with a 30in. waist and 41in. chest and bout 15% BF...I get comments from my family all the time about being too skinny even though I'm not skinny, they all eat like crazy too.
I was 5'8" and 110 to 115 lbs for years and I caught hell about it. In my mid to late 20's I started serious body building and built up nicely. Had a fairly serious injury and had to stop lifting. Now my weight bounces between 150 and 180 and I fight it all the time. I used to think I would never have to worry about getting fat. I was wrong. My wife was into body building too and we've both had to fight our weight as we've gotten older. Don't think you can never get fat.
your BMI should be used as a rough guideline if that. it takes into account nothing but height and weight, so you could easily be classified as overweight if you're fat or if you're very muscular... pure stupid.
as for the thread... the only time i managed to gain weight was when i did protein shakes and creatine every day and worked out all the time. even then it took me a long time to gain even 5lbs.

i'm 5'9 223 lbs, i'm a little built (shoulders arms chest) but i have a beer gut
i don't criticize people on their weight, what gets me people clown fat people because they think they eat to much, not nessisarily the case, my oldest brother has a pancreatic disorder and he's huge

If your BMI is within the normal range tell them to shut up and exercise.

The national average weight keeps ticking higher, meaning the skinnier you are the more you are going to be an outlier. Being what used to be considered overweight is becoming the norm.
BTW, I am 8lbs under my medically optimal weight for my height and people give me all kinds of shit (BMI of 20.5).

25.8 guess Im barely overweight. I'm 6'0 and weigh 190.. comes from sitting at a desk all day at work. Been working a desk job for 3 years now.. prior to which I was working on my feet all day, 2 full time jobs and weighed about 150
they are jealous.... and in a state of denial....
I agree about the odd'ness of society. You can mock a skinny guy, but if you mock a fat person, your toast. Does not make sense, but that is just the way she goes. After all, the fat people are "victims" ... it would be mean to mock a victim
On a plus note, being thin means your car is 100lbs lighter then the majority of s2000s haha
