Question for Golfers
I just got a new set of clubs. Found a new set of Titleist dci 762s off of ebay pretty cheap. Splurged and also got that Taylor Made r7 quad & a rescue 3W. So my set is almost complete. I just need a Sand Wedge, or so I thought...
Now i've heard that people carry around as many as 4 wedges in their bags. I've only used a PW and SW for years. Does anyone here use the gap, approach, or lob wedges? If so what degrees are they?

I too carry a lob wedge, and find it quite handy.
Another trick you may want to try... if you find yourself 10 or 20 yards away from the green, instead of using a Lob Wedge, try taking a 7 Iron and 'running' the ball. Simply swing your 7 Iron the same way you would swing your putter. This will cause the ball to travel about 3 feet off the ground, with top spin when it lands. Comes in very handy if you aren't comfortable swinging hard with a high-lofted club, trying to produce backspin.

I know golf isn't about girls but hey, I've had some good luck meeting women on the course!!
I'll have to try than 'running' shot with the 7. Usually I do a half assed swing with the pw and mess everything up. I'm just a LOT more comfortable swinging full strength or close to it than a weaker swing. Maybe this is where the lob comes into play. Thanks

When running the ball, try to hold the club at the bottom of the grip, right where it meets the metal. Like Monkei said, swing like you would when you are putting and try a few practice swings by just brushing over the grass a few times.

Depends on your game. I carry a 47 (PW), 52(Gap), 56 (Sand) and 60 (Lob). I hit the ball a long way and only have one swing.... full blast. I can't hit a 75% shot for crap. I gave up the 3 wood because I can hit my long irons but I need 4 wedges so i can keep my full swing.
I use my 9 iron for most chip and runs
