Quit smoking yesterday.
Elroy:
Be strong. I quit a 2 1/2 pack a day habit 10 years ago. Its the toughest thing that I have ever done.
But it can be done, and its well worth it. You have to be determined to never put another cigarette in your mouth again. You cant have just one more. To this day I am convinced that If I take Just 1 puff, I will be back to 2 packs a day in a month. Its harder than hell at first, but it does get better. Have some fun with it, When the craving for a cigarette would hit me, I would jump up and down and yelling and waving my arms until it passed "about 2 minutes". My wife and kids still laugh about it.
Keep us updated.

i tried to quit smoking for 1xx times, just tell yourself dont' light them up or your will hate yourself then it starts all over again, you know 1 after 1, packs after packs.
to me the second and the third day is the worst, could not focus on anything but thinking about cigarettes, the urge comes back to me every 5mins, 10mins....but it does get a lot better as the day goes.
My method is
1. drink a lot of ice cold water
2. have a few packs of gums (Dentyne ice)
3. brush your teeth (think about how much your breath is gonna stink after the smoke, but instead you make your breath fresher)
4. go out and run or take a few deep breaths ( body need some fresh air, clear your lung and mind)
5. don't eat too full or spicy food (it makes me want to smoke after too much food)
after the first 2 weeks then you should be fine =)
good luck bro

MMMMMM...tabaco is good..That smell excites me every time I smell someone lighting one up. You know that nice soothing feel as the smoke goes into your lungs filling every part of your throat. It's so relaxing and soothing..Light one up for me, don't quit you have come so far.

When I quit 24 1/2 years ago (after a 3 pack/day habit), I had to stop drinking beer for a few months, and ate lots (and lots and lots) of sunflower seeds. Haven't touched a cigarette since.
To me, beer and cigarettes went together like peanut butter and jelly.

As a non-smoker myself, I have yet to work out why people take up the habit?!
But I know that, 'nicotine' is one of THE most addictive substances known to man (besides VTEC
) and every day that goes by without you smoking, will be one step to better long term health!!
Good luck....
