Here's something i lifted from another site:

here's what you have to look forward to!

after 20 mins of quitting:
-blood pressure drops to normal
-pulse rate drops to normal
-temperature of hands and feet increase to normal

after 8 hours of quitting:
-carbon monoxide level in blood drops to normal
-oxygen level in blood increases to normal

after 24 hours of quitting:
-chance of heart attack decreases

after 48 hours:
-ability to taste and smell is enhanced

after 2 weeks - 3 months:
-circulation improves
-walking becomes easier
-lung function increases up to 30%

after 1 - 9 months:
-coughing, sinus congestion, fatigue, shortness of breath decrease
-cilia regain normal function in lungs, increasing ability to handle mucus, clean the lungs, reduce infection
-overall energy increases

after 1 year:
-excess risk of coronary heart disease is half that of a smoker

after 5 years:
-stroke risk is reduced to that of a non-smoker 5-15 years after quitting
-risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, and esophagus is half that of a smoker

after 10 years:
-lung cancer death rate about half that of a continuing smoker's
-precancerous cells are replaced
-risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus, bladder, kidney, and pancreas decreases

after 15 years:
-risk of coronary heart disease is that of a non-smoker

it has some tips and strategies i can post or PM if you would like, but i thought the stuff about how your body recovers from extended periods of smoking was really interesting, motivating and encouraging. again, good luck to you and your friend who is quitting with you, we all support you!

of course a heat evaporator is the best way to smoke the funny stuff (plus you don't smoke carbon which is what happens when you use fire i.e. a lighter
Haha yup I have a vaporizer made by Vapor Brothers, I think. I've tried a few other ones as well. They smoke and taste great, but most take too long to vaporize IMO. The other downside is that the effect doesn't seem as intense, it uses more weed, and it's not very portable since a power supply is required. My device of choice is the trusty hand pipe (the single best all around tool IMO), followed by the bong, bubbler, gravity bong, etc., and in a pinch, the joint.

But anyway, hmmm guess I've got to look into those hookahs now... Thanks!

Good luck

If you quit and stay that way you may save yourself from

COPD
Arteriosclerosis
Heart attack
Stroke
Lung Cancer
and more...

Did you know that a good number of smokers get their legs cut off because they've destroyed their arteries that supply their legs.

You had your fun with smoking. Now find another less deadly hobby. Your life will be better.
