I just finished The Da Vinci Code. Anyone else read it? I have to say it is a fantastic and fast paced book. It got me really intrigued with the whole secret society and religious history. I highly recommend it!!

I don't read books.

I think the last time I did in the 4th grade.

Is this something you're proud of? What, did you not go to high school?

Anyway, F1 Tech, check this thread for some other ideas on good books:

If I'm not mistaken I don't recall saying anything about being proud of it. And weather or not I went to high school has no relevance to the topic.

Also, I'd appreciate it if you didn't put words in my mouth. Thank You.

I also just finished The Da Vinci code, which was excellent, so good in fact that I just read Angels & Demons, also by Dan Brown. It was so good I finished it from cover to cover (600 pages) in two days.

I just finished the last book in the "Ender Quartet" by Orson Scott Card. The first book is called Ender's Game and is one of the best books I've ever read. This was the third time I've read it.

The second book, Speaker for the Dead is a little slower but still very good.

The third and fourth books, Xenocide, and Children of the Mind are alse excellent.

My favorite is still Ender's Game, and you'll understand why if you read it. Definitely worth it!

Ender's Game took me two readthroughs to really get the message behind Card's words.... then again, I was 16 at the time I read Ender's Game

As for good books:

The GoldenWing Series by Alfred Copel... sci-fi at one of it's bests. Incredible to read, uses ACTUAL SCIENCE O_O to describe things...

Halo: The Fall of Reach by Eric Nylund... yes, it's a book of a game, but what a book! Reads like Starship Troopers, and carries a great story.

Exiles 1 & 2 by Melanie Rawn... still, to date, the two best books (of three, because the 3rd book hasn't been written yet) I HAVE EVER READ. Politics, sci-fi, fantasy, adventure, action, romance.... these books have EVERYTHING... they are INCREDIBLE works to behold, and I recommend a thorough reading of them to anyone

Bean, is that you?

Recently finished The Janson Directive by Robert Ludlum, one of his better books (I've read 'em all). His Covert-One series isn't bad but I think co-authorship weakens them.

Before that Umberto Eco's Foucoult's (sp?) Pendulum. Difficult but entertaining. Before that, Anne Rice's The Body Thief. And then Tom Clancey's Without Remose and Red Rabbit.

Yeah, I read a lot, maybe one book each week.
