i know some people who use the pill but no condom. how does that work?
The pill will prevent pregnancy, but not the transmission of STD's

c_unit, you are friends with a lot of irresponsible people.

you are highly misinformed. It's very near 100% if taken as perscribed. Problems occur if pills are missed.

Look at it this way, even birth control is not 100%. If they were screwing like bunnies the odds of failure must increase.

if you take the pill everyday, don't miss any doses, and try to take it around the same time everyday... i think it's like 98% effective. no less than 95% effective. but people are too retarded to remember to take some tiny little pill everyday (seriously... it's not rocket science.) in this case, the effectiveness decreases enormously... i think mostly because it gives people a false sense of security.

most of my friends who have gotten pregnant, got pregnant when they were supposedly on the pill... they were just missing doses like crazy.

i take the pill religiously... and i'm usually able to guess when i'm ovulating. (i.e. when it'd be a really bad time to try and spice things up by letting my SO drop a load in me.) sorry... that was graphic, but i couldn't think of a less graphic alternative.

Um, I take a lot of offense to your statements.

My GF is now 8 months pregnant. I was there, every night when she took her pill. She still got pregnant. She never missed one day, at all.

She, nor did I plan this. She is in her last year of college right now. She wanted to(and still is going to) continue, once all is said and done with her doctorate. So, this was not a just so happened, to happen mistake.

The pill is not 100% effective. The doctor stated that more and more cases are turning up that the pill is NOT 100% effective.

After talking to the doctor, she said that the cases of this happening are getting higher as the days go. In her professional opinion, she said its more like 80% effective.

C_Unit, how hard is it not to drink and drive? Throwing rocks in a glass house?

I don't worry about other people having kids... it's so common place these days to have children before marriage, or when single, that it just doesn't even come across as a mistake anymore. Everyone creates their own successes and challenges, all I can do is affect my own.

You're right, it's not that hard... why so many people have kids before they're ready... it's a mystery... I do however notice a trend of them being inexperienced sexually and socially though.
