when people are on antibotics doesn't it make the pill not effective? of course if someone is on antibotics they would probably be sick and not really feel like getting railed so it would be sort of a moot point...

I thought the pill was effective besides missing taking it and taking the antibotics at the same time...

i heard if you kiss wearing bathings suits pregnancy can happen.

I don't worry about other people having kids... it's so common place these days to have children before marriage, or when single, that it just doesn't even come across as a mistake anymore. Everyone creates their own successes and challenges, all I can do is affect my own.
I agree completly, why worry about other people...you should be concerned about number 1...(you)

Once those bastards end up on wellfare, guess who will be paying for them? Once the kids grow up and turn into criminals, guess whose cars they will still? Whose family will they murder? Yours and ming. That's why we should be concerned with preventing it.

i know you're not saying that every kid resulting from an unplanned pregnancy is gonna be detrimental to society. you speak as if the majority of the 'fukin' american public is irresponsible. *newsflash rocket scientist*: THE MAJORITY OF PREGNANCIES ARE UNPLANNED, don't believe me? ask your moms.

my roomate jamey's g/f is pregnant. he's scared as hell but is being a man and keeping the baby eventhough he did try early on to possibly take it before it started to grow. but now that there's a heartbeat he's in for the long haul. i can't believe what he's going through. all of it could have been avoided if she would have stayed on f@#king schedule with her birth control pills. it's really bullshit that she did that. she screwed herself and him with that dumb ass move. my pharmacist friend even hooked them up with 3 f-in backs of BC and she totally disregarded the schedule.

if you can tell i'm mad eventhough it doesn't affect me, but him being one of my good friends and knowing that he really doesn't need this shit in his life just really get's me angry on his behalf.

as c_unit said this could have been avoided with 1 friggin daily pill. how hard is that. splooge in them all you want and it's cool

I was planned, or so they tell me

I'm not saying that every baby that is born to teenagers, or unplanned, etc will end up in prison, but the odds surely are against them. Research and common sense seems to indicate that children need to be raised by both parents, and the kids will learn something different from the father and the mother.

Go to your state prison. Ask the prisoners, especially those violent ones, not talking about the white collar criminals, how many of them were raised in what was once considered a "normal" home where they had both a father and mother present in their lives. I'm willing to bet most will say they're from dysfunctional families.

The pill is not 100% effective. The doctor stated that more and more cases are turning up that the pill is NOT 100% effective.

After talking to the doctor, she said that the cases of this happening are getting higher as the days go. In her professional opinion, she said its more like 80% effective.
Personally I'd prefer hard data over professional opinion. It may very well be that there is an increase in women on birth control getting pregnant, but I'd like to know about other (human) factors. I've also heard the stir about lower dose pills that may be less effective, but admittedly I don't know much about them because I'm not taking them.

And yes Scot, antibiotics (and *several* other meds I believe) can reduce the effectiveness of the pill. The pill is so common that I don't think most women read the insert. They just assume you take it once a day and you're good to go.

if you take the pill everyday, don't miss any doses, and try to take it around the same time everyday... i think it's like 98% effective. no less than 95% effective. but people are too retarded to remember to take some tiny little pill everyday (seriously... it's not rocket science.) in this case, the effectiveness decreases enormously...
Besides, if taking a pill every day is too much responsibility, you can always get the shot. Doesn't get much easier than that IMO.
