Have you ever tried to catch (Or come within 50 feet of) a feral cat.

Now comes the question of what is more humane, injecting the dog with poison or having him used as bait although both lead to the same: death.

what is more humane???

let's see...

dog is given an injection, gets sleepy, dies. probably was being rubbed nicely too. sucks that it dies, but compared to...

dog gets large metal barbs shoved through its flesh, is taken out to sea and thrown in the ocean, so coupled with the extraordinary pain it is feeling, it is also struggling to try to keep from drowning, likely yelping out in panic and misery... when it is attacked by a shark.

dude, did I REALLY have to spell that out for you??

No, I meant people's views of what they consider humane. Whats the meaning of a word without people's backgrounds? Read about an essay called "Mommy, what does N*gger Mean?" and you'll understand what im talking about.

It's a cultural thing. We huddle cows together and put abolt though there heads, sometimes they don't die. We rip beaks off of chickens before we kill them and use scissors to cut off the heads of experimental hamsters. Watch some PETA videos. The bottom line you're only offended because you like dogs. If you hated them or viewed them as dumb animals you wouldn't care.

Bad deal if your dog lover . But a shark rips to shreds all the fish it eats , nobody sheds a tear. How is this any different ? Just cause dogs aren't normally found at sea. Stray dogs and cats are killed weekly when they can't be placed in a home. nobody raises a stink . Is this form of death more acceptable ?I have a friend who lives inthe foothills ,game comes down the mountain snacks on dogs and cats all the time , should we be outraged at the game and punish them. Hell look how we treat some people in the USA . Some parts of the world eat dogs, just because people think of them as pets here in the USA, the rest of the world does not.
Didn't I explain in the other post the reason why you don't use animals that don't belong in a invironment as food for other animals??????? Why don 't we just dump our garbage in the ocean . Or eat Sh!t. Or use Politicians as bait as well.

And I think it is still b.s. It is probably one of these shark lover organizations trying to stir up a big comotion to stop shark fishing.

please. You watch your PETA smut by yourself, thank you. Most people have issues with killing or torture of animals, especially animals we consider pets. It has little to do with "cultural" norms, it has to do with a human characteristic called empathy. It is quite hard to have a whole lot of empathy with minnows, or corn. Not so hard with dogs. Sure, if you don't feel empathy with anything, it isn't such a big deal, but the lack of empathy isn't restricted to "dumb animals." People who lack empathy for animals lack empathy for people, as well. Trying to suggest that anyone who's ever eaten a hamburger is no different than someone who'd put a hook through a puppy's mouth is a fallacious argument. We aren't all hypocrites just because you cannot discern any difference.

I wouldn't use PETA as a source for anything but toilet paper.

So ripping the beaks off of chickens isn't cruel? I'm no PETA fan. I'm a steak loving, shoot the cow in the head with a bolt just so long as that peice of steak ends up on my plate, type of guy. I you really have a problem with the killing of animals then you should be a PETA fan. Otherwise you obviously don't really have a problem with it if the food lands on your plate. If you eat dog you wouldn't care, you'd just say well thats how they kill dogs, so long as i get that good dog bacon I don't want to know. That's my point and its a fair on at that. These people couldn't care about the dog but want to eat a big peeice of shark meat or sell the fin. Either way its a cultural thing.
