rental question
yeah it looks like yours doesn't. I am just saying that most do. I have been bit by this one before.
The reasoning is most people usually don't move mid month.
I would just say you can't pay. Then do not pay, move your stuff out and don't us them as a reference
You weren't there that long anyway.

Seeing as your landlord wants to ding you for the month notice, make sure the place is 100% spotless when you leave or he can hit your deposit for cleaning. I'm dealing with this right now; my former landlord is upset over stupid stuff like little pieces of grass from the lawn guy being blown up onto the siding and burned out lightbulbs in some rooms (this house went through light bulbs at a rate of 2-3 week).
Hope it all works out for you!

My only concern would be the part about the rental being month to month and the rent being due in advance. If you pay for 15 days you are not following the month to month aspect. You are also specified a monthly rate of rent, not daily as in only paying half of the specified monthly rent may cause you to be in breach of the contract.
Just my .02 in case he uses that angle you will have at least thought about a rebuttle...
