for sure...i was so proud of how i got out of being absent for 3 days....that was teh diff between me having to come to summer school for a couple day and since it was only 3 I didnt have to take finals (another week off of school)

in this one class we got "bonus points" for wearing our id (required by school rules or whatever but hardly anyone does it once they are inside past security) so my friend would just wait till lunch, teach walk out and hed walk up and grab like 50 of them....she never caught on even tho he would regularly turn in about 25-50 on every homework assignment...

We do all have to live with our mistakes, but I think sometimes we put athletes or celebrities on a pedestal, but in all actuality they are just like us, and they are just human capable of making a mistake.. any personal issues shouldn't have even been discussed through the media..
the fact remains that we do not know whether or not kobe had forced himself onto this girl (and we probably will never know). yes, according to the image of kobe that we are familiar with, he would not be capable of such an act, but remember, the image of kobe we see and know is a product of his PR people. i'm sure there are dark sides of kobe that we are not familiar with. although i will only speculate here, but being such a hotshot high profile basketball star usually comes with high ego on his part. and although for the most part most female in their right mind would not turn down sex with him, and that even if one or two does here and there he can just move on to another, but for someone with as big of an ego that he presumable can possess would take a rejection from a girl quite hard and may result in forcing himself on her. furthermore, kobe may be suffering from stress and depression from the fact that he is undergoing recovery from injury and the fact that he was unable to win another championship this year. such distorted emotional and psychological state can drive a person to conduct acts that would normally be out of his character. once again, i am only speculating and hypothesizing here. i am a big lakers and kobe fan and would love to see him in action for years to come. only if he in actuality did force himself onto this girl, i think he deserves and needs to suffer the consquences. but unfortunately with our current law of justice, justice does not necessarily prevails...

my advice to kobe and all high profile celebs: video tape any and all sexual flings you embark on!!

I don't think any athletes are rolemodels, they play sports, albeit very valiantly, but that's about it.. I don't think it constitutes a proper rolemodel in any regard.. some help with charity, which is a noble thing to do, but I think people should be looking within the community to find a "rolemodel", not an illustrious superstar who they don't know. Rolemodels are usually people who you would like to emulate, I don't think Kobe would constitute as a rolemodel. I don't think what he did was any of our business, and we have no right to judge, you're right, people make mistakes. Most people who worship Kobe, and are naive enough to think that he is immortal are people of a younger generation, and he has already sent out a negative message to the kids.. We are not talking about degrees of "sin" here, what he did was still wrong in any regard, but I don't think he was a rapist.. he just gave into temptation, something we all do to a certain extent... Innocent? Well I think so, Rolemodel?? He never was one to begin with, but this has certainly put a blemish on his sqeauky clean record...

Sorry man, being unfaithfull to the one you love and possibly of rape is not exactly a good role model.

Being a model as a great basketball player, I will give him that.

This article basically sums up my viewpoint at this stage in the game.
http://msn.espn.go.com/page2/s/jackson/030721.html I thought it was very well written..

Here's a little excerpt from that article which made a lot of sense. (Again, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, and I think he's innocent but we really never know)

"Here's what I don't "know" about Kobe Bryant: I don't know how he treats his family when they're behind closed doors. I don't know what his sexual habits are. I don't know if he has a raging temper. I don't know what he might be capable of when no one is around.

Look around your office or your school. No matter how much you think know some of the people that you come in contact with every single day, you probably don't know the answers to any of the questions above."
