Default Retail Sucks

Any of you guys work in retail. For some reason today I have had the dumbest customers. I can feel my self getting dumber and dumber by the minute.

I just had a customer looking at a down alternative pillow and he says "down alternative? what does that mean?"...... What does that mean? are you freakin serious. I don't think the name of it can be any more clear than that.

Post up some stupid or funny customer stories

HAHA. Yes. The puns are plenty with this job. And yes I have slept on the job. Its not my fault though. The beds are so dang comfy and it had nothing to do with the long night the night before....

Food service is worse. I worked at a Dairy Queen for my first job when I was 15. I can't stand dealing with the public.

Yeah, I was a Regional manager for a large chain for 10 years and customers that were too stupid for employees are managers to handle were bumped up to me. You have to wonder how some of these people get through life.

Retail pharmacy intern here, deal with stupid people daily. Yesterday a woman comes to get her prescription and I tell her, "that will be $3.06." She responds, "I'm too lazy to walk up the hill. I have two dollars." wtf? Spent a minute explaining how 2 dollars was not enough, and never figured out what "too lazy to walk up the hill" meant. Still love my job though... I think it takes a special personality to work retail.

Well...in all fairness, I'm sure a lot of people aren't terribly familiar with bed room item materials. For instance, I have no idea how many thread counts is considered luxury for sheets. I wouldn't have known about goose down if I didn't do my own shopping for dorm stuff when I moved to college.

I really want to smack people today. Help me out guys. Post up some stupid customer stories
I can guess what a down alternative pillow is, but I'm not 100% positive. One thing I do know is that I'm smart enough to not have to work at a mattress/bedding store. Just know that customer you're talking trash about funds your paychecks.

How about a thread on the crappy customer service from cocky sales associates?
