revenge for rape

A stupid question. It stops when one side decides to stop. Anyone knows revenging will only brings more trouble, but it's not like emotion is easily controlled. You wish you had a button in yourself that can turn your anger off with a single push.
If you put it into a less serious topic: Someone takes some stuff off your desk without telling you. You take it back, and in all likelihood the cycle starts all over again. Most people would say that's fine, he took it first. But if you confronted him about this, you may be able to stop it altogether.
Now if you put it back into the context of the thread, do you have the "right" to harm someones who's hurt you/someone you love, and if believe you do, doesn't he have the "right" to return the favour later?

How is what he said stupid? It brings a timeless moral question into the forefront of this discussion. Do two wrongs makes a right?

I think the Marcellus Wallace revenge is quite good for rape.
"What now? Let me tell you what now. I'm gonna call a couple of hard, pipe-hitting ******* to go to work on the homes here with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. You hear me talking, hillbilly boy? I ain't through with you! Not by a damn sight. I'm gonna get medieval on your ass!"

I don't think that an individual person SHOULD take revenge against their attacker. We have a judicial system for a reason. That said, I also believe that if you are convicted of rape, your mandatory sentence should be death. It only seems fair considering that in a way, your victim's life is now over.
(Of course, I'm not talking about the 18 year old guy and his 17 year old girlfriend getting caught together either)
